1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for services purchased from Techviz Solutions. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Because our services are different in nature, the policy differs for one-time project services and for recurring subscription services.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
2. One-time services
This section applies to Website Setup, Custom Web Development, web application projects, and other one-time services.
Because these services involve work carried out specifically for you, refund eligibility depends on whether work has started and how much has been completed:
- Before work starts: if you cancel before we begin work on your project, you will receive a full refund of any amount paid.
- After work has started: if you cancel after work has begun, we will refund the amount paid minus the value of work already completed, calculated in proportion to the work completed against the agreed scope. Payments for milestones you have already approved are not refundable.
- After delivery: once the final deliverables have been delivered and accepted, the service is complete and the payment is not refundable. If a deliverable does not match the agreed scope, please tell us and we will fix it at no additional charge.
Where a project requires third-party purchases made with your approval (for example, premium plugins or licences), those costs are refundable only if the third-party provider refunds them to us.
3. Recurring services
This section applies to subscription plans, including Managed WordPress Hosting (monthly and annual) and Website Management.
- Cancelling renewals: you may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your service continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- First payment: if you are not satisfied with a new subscription, you may request a full refund of your first payment within 14 days of the initial purchase.
- Renewal payments: renewal payments are generally not refunded once the new billing period has started. If you forgot to cancel and have not used the service during the new period, contact us within 7 days of the renewal and we will review your request.
- Service not provided: if we are unable to provide a service you have paid for, or we end a subscription for reasons other than a breach of our Terms, we will refund the prepaid amount for the unused period.
4. Hosting and managed services
For Managed WordPress Hosting and Website Management:
- Monthly plans: after the first 14 days, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month. Partial months are not refunded.
- Annual plans: after the first 14 days, cancellation stops the next annual renewal and the service remains active until the end of the paid year. Unused months are not refunded, except where required by law or as described in section 3 under “Service not provided”.
- Your website data: before your hosting service ends, we will provide reasonable assistance so you can obtain a copy of your website files and database. After the service ends, your hosted website and its backups will be deleted following a reasonable notice period.
- Suspension for breach: no refund is due where a service is suspended or terminated because of a breach of our Acceptable Use terms.
5. How to request a refund or cancel
To cancel a subscription or request a refund, contact us at [email protected] or through our contact form, including:
- your name and the email address used for the purchase;
- the service or plan concerned and, if available, your order or invoice number; and
- a short explanation of your request.
We aim to respond to refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. The time it takes for the refund to appear depends on your bank or payment provider.
6. Payments processed by Paddle
Some orders may be processed by Paddle, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record for those transactions. Where Paddle processes your transaction:
- Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase, and refunds may be issued through Paddle;
- you may contact us or Paddle about a refund; and
- any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you, including statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights, are not affected by this policy.
7. Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it quickly. This does not affect your right to dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
